Destrachans wander the Underdark and dungeons searching for prey. When it encounters food or foe alike, it bashes it with waves of deafening sound and rends it asunder with its razor sharp claws. Its powerful clawed feet can pierce stone, but due to lack of maneuverability, it never uses them in combat, preferring to use them to climb and navigate rubble. The destrachan has no eyes and cannot see but its large ears and keen sense of smell enables it to find prey in total darkness. |
