History

The Asari were born of the god Apisirahts, who wished to create a race of beauty in such a bleak world, he rained them down from the sky as shooting stars long ago leaving them on their island isolated and away from most civilized races who later would find them and seek to enslave many of the Asari for their aesthetic appearance. The Asari, not being a warlike people, would have been easily conquered, had it not been for their own islands natural defenses which they, having raised generation after generation there, had learned to avoid. Many dangerous animals and plants were from the Asari lands and the invading humans were unprepared for the ferocious nature of the Asari Jungle.

Society

Asari age very quickly from their birth, and reach their full maturity and adulthood around the same time as a human would but as they age into their twenties their aging slows dramatically and the Asari can live for almost a century and a half in good health. Unfortunately along with their long life spans they are particularly infertile, children only being born after years of trying for a child if the couple making the attempt is lucky.

Because of their small demeanor and natural beauty, the Asari are often thought of as a weak race, something that a few Asari have taken advantage of to come off as a much more Charismatic individual.

Asari are well aware they tend to be attractive, and are comfortable expressing their sexuality, and don't have a concept of gender as a pairing choice, because they are constantly surrounded by beauty they have become desensitized to physical appearance and look more towards ones actions for determining possible partners. Young males of other races tend to have a fascination with Asari. Asari are however prone to very strong mood swings, and can go from exuberant to depressed like a light switch.

They have as a race had a history of foreign invaders and enslavements when some manage to get some Asari straying to far from the forest cities.
