The Elemental Warrior

A warrior devoted to elementals, an elemental warrior believes that elementals are the upper beings, and deserve to be treated so. Because of their devotion to an element, they gain powers of that element.

Making an Elemental Warrior

Elemental warriors get along well with most people, and are very useful because of their attack power, but they don't have to many special powers.

Abilities: Strength, is an important ability because it allows the elemental warrior to have stronger attacks. Dexterity, is important because it helps with the elememtal warrior's attacks. Intelligence, is also important because it give the elemental warrior more skill points.

Races: Any character from any race that has a passion for elementals and wants to show them to the world.

Alignment: Any.

Starting Gold: 25d20×10 gp (2500 gp).

Starting Age: As fighter.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the elemental fighter.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Elemental Warrior gain proficiency with all simple and martial weapons, as well as the bastard sword. It is also proficient with light armor. Also all shields excluding tower shields


Elemental Strike (Sp): Because of his devotion to elementals, an elemental warrior is gifted with the ability to generate a spinning vortex around his weapon (blade or bolt/arrow) that is made up of one of the five elements. Water, fire, earth, electricity and air. You must select your element when creating your character. On a successful critical hit, the weapon deals ×3 damage instead of ×2, (or ×4 damage instead of ×3, if the weapon already deals ×4, it stay the same).


Combat Style (Ex): At 3rd level, an Elemental Warrior must select one of two combat styles to pursue: archery or two-weapon combat. This choice affects the character’s class features but does not restrict his selection of feats or special abilities in any way.

If the Elemental Warrior selects archery, he is treated as having the Rapid Shot feat, even if he does not have the normal prerequisites for that feat.

If the Elemental Warrior selects two-weapon combat, he is treated as having the Two-Weapon Fighting feat, even if he does not have the normal prerequisites for that feat.

The benefits of the Elemental Warrior chosen style apply only when he wears light or no armor. He loses all benefits of his combat style when wearing medium or heavy armor.

Uncanny Dodge (Ex): Starting at 7th level, a Elemental Warrior can react to danger before her senses would normally allow her to do so. She retains her Dexterity bonus to AC (if any) even if she is caught flat-footed or struck by an invisible attacker. However, she still loses her Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized.


Improved Combat Style (Ex): At 11th level, a Elemental Warrior's aptitude in his chosen combat style (archery or two-weapon combat) improves. If he selected archery at 2nd level, he is treated as having the Manyshot feat, even if he does not have the normal prerequisites for that feat.

If the Elemental Warrior selected two-weapon combat at 3rd level, he is treated as having the Improved Two-Weapon Fighting feat, even if he does not have the normal prerequisites for that feat.

As before, the benefits of the Elemental Warrior's style only applies when he wears light or no armor. He loses all benefits of his combat style when wearing medium or heavy armor.


Improved Uncanny Dodge (Ex): A Elemental Warrior of 15th level or higher can no longer be flanked. This defense denies another Elemental Warrior the ability to sneak attack the character by flanking her, unless the attacker has at least four more rogue levels than the target does.

If a character already has uncanny dodge (see above) from a second class, the character automatically gains improved uncanny dodge instead, and the levels from the classes that grant uncanny dodge stack to determine the minimum Elemental Warrior level required to flank the character.


Combat Style Mastery (Ex): At 20th level, a Elemental Warrior's aptitude in his chosen combat style (archery or two-weapon combat) improves. If he selected archery at 2nd level, he is treated as having the Improved Precise Shot feat, even if he does not have the normal prerequisites for that feat.

If the Elemental Warrior selected two-weapon combat at 2nd level, he is treated as having the Greater Two-Weapon Fighting feat, even if he does not have the normal prerequisites for that feat.

As before, the benefits of the Elemental Warrior's style only applies when he wears light or no armor. He loses all benefits of his combat style when wearing medium or heavy armor.

Campaign Information

Playing a Elemental Warrior

Religion: Elemental Warriors have no main patron deity, but they tend to worship the most eldest of elementals or, more then not, worship a deity with an element as a domain. They can worship any deity they want provided its with in their alignment.(DM discretion).

Other Classes: They get along with other classes just as well as normal fighters do. Elemental Warriors get along with magic users because of there shared interest. Though accounts of Elemental Warriors tell them conversing with divine caster then arcane.

Combat: They are front line fighters & off-hand healers. They fight just as well as any other combatant but without the practiced tactile skilled of most fighters.

Advancement: Like benders and swordmages.

Characters with ranks in knowledge(nature) or knowledge(planes) can research elemental warriors to learn more about them. When a character makes a skill check, read or paraphrase the following, including information from lower DCs.
