Calming Sound
Transmutation
Level: Songclaine 9
Components: None
Casting time: 1 standard action
Range: Caster
Target, or Area: Any undead
Duration: Until the caster stops performing
Saving Throw: Special
Spell Resistance: No

This spell must be cast just before beginning a performance. The Songclaine must then make a Performance check (DC 21) and begin playing or singing. The sound itself cleaves any corpse or undead creature within earshot (regardless of whether it can hear at all). Sentient undead who receive a save against soulcleaving must make their check against a DC equal to the Songclaine's Performance roll. Sentient undead who make their saving throw must still take 4d12 sonic damage every round the spell is in effect. They must make another soulcleaving save every three rounds as well.

The caster can continue performing for a number of rounds equal to his Constitution score (not modifier) and then must make additional Performance checks each round with an additional -1 penalty.
