  1. The SRD only gives a means to determine costs and weights of weapons for Large and Small versions based on the Medium weapons. Any other supplied values are the author's best determination.

The gauntlet sword, or "pata" as it was historically called, is a blade that is attached to the end of a metal gauntlet. It provides it the wielder with the ability to endow their strikes with more power at the cost of blade mobility. However, the fact that the weapon is attached to the wielder's arm makes it even harder to remove from them forcefully. Thereby granting the wielder a +4 bonus to checks made to resist being disarmed. Additionally, the gauntlet section provides the wielder with a +1 armor bonus to AC. Unfortunately, as the weapon requires being worn like a gauntlet, it makes drawing and sheathing the weapon consume a full round action.
