D&D Wiki has recently been upgraded, and the old skin is too far out of date to continue with. As such there are now a lot of issues. Please collect issues that you find at this page. — Blue Dragon

  1. The SRD only gives a means to determine costs and weights of weapons for Large and Small versions based on the Medium weapons. Any other supplied values are the author's best determination.

The Destructive Axe is formed from a 10-foot steel or, in some cases, ironwood haft with two sets of handles, one set each at the bottom and in the middle of the haft. The end of the pole is dominated by a massive axe head. On the backside of the axe head, a large block of solid granite is bolted to the haft to lend mass, and as such power, to blows dealt with it. A Destructive Axe has reach. It can be used to strike opponents 10 ft away. A Destructive Axe also has a set of handles halfway up, so it can strike opponents in adjacent squares. Switching from a half grip to a full grip is a move action that provokes attacks of opportunity. Because blows dealt from half haft lack leverage, they deal damage as if the weapon were one size category smaller. Because of its weight, a Destructive Axe requires a minimum strength score of 15 to wield with proficiency, and any wielder - no matter what their strength score - takes a -1 penalty to AC in any round where they attack with the Axe, as recovering from its massive swings takes much longer than with a normal weapon(If the weapon is crafted from Mithril, the minimum strength score requirement is removed, but the AC penalty remains). In addition, attacking with a Destructive Axe requires a full-round action (At the DM's discretion, a feat may be allowed to allow the wielder their full normal rate of attacks with this weapon).
