This large creature resembles a large monstrous spider, except its long claws on its front to feet, and hairless gray body. Its eyes off and sickly yellow glow and you smell dead flesh.

Created by the Spider Lords of the False Presage as guardians and spies, the Nur’Arakos are created from the remains of dead monstrous spiders through blood rituals. Powered by the blood of Araknos the Vampire Lord these undead are Araknos primary undead servants on khovaire.

These undead creatures have been seen working for the blood of vol among others, they are a rare site. Pretending to be about as smart as a common ogre, they spy and report to their master.

With a primal link to their creators has given the nur’arakos a sixth sense that allows them to act faster in combat. It is not really known how deep this primal link is, compared to what is known to be normal about many types of undead this link could mean a lot.

Nur’arakos speak Common and Giant.

Combat

Nur’arakos try to get the first hit in combat by either hiding right under their target or getting into a place that they can get the first strike.

Arakno’s Sense (Su): A nur’arakos adds its Wisdom bonus on initiative checks (already figured into the statistics above).

Charisma Drain (Su): The bite of a nur’arakos deals 1d6 points of Charisma drain to a living foe. A nur’arakos gains 3 temporary hit points per point of charisma damage it deals. These temporary hit points last for up to 1 hour.

Fast Healing (Ex): A nur’arakos heals 3 points of damage each round so long as it has at least 1 hit point.

Inescapable Craving: A nur’arakos has an inescapable craving (see Libris Mortis for this) for Charisma, which it satisfies by using its Charisma Suck ability.

Tremorsense (Ex): A nur’arakos can automatically sense the location of anything within 60 feet that is in contact with the ground.

Unholy Grace (Su): A nur’arakos adds its Charisma modifier as a bonus on all its saving throws and as a deflection bonus to its Armor Class (already figured into the statistics above).
