A strange, panther like creature prowls the outskirts of your camp, it's fur the color of the deepest night. It's upper body is very muscular, and small wisps of black smoke trail from it's mouth. As the dim sky turns to night, the beast attacks!

The Nighthunter is a nocturnal beast that roams the plains and hills during the dead of night. They exist only to eat, and their favorite food is flesh. However, it is not a mindless hunger, therefor they will not mindlessly charge into battle for food.

Nighthunterss stand on all fours about three feet tall, and weigh about 250 pounds.

A Nighthunter that has reached nine HD burrows itself into a shallow grave. On the next night with a new moon, three new Nighthunters claw their way to the surface. After one week, the three separate, and go to different hunting grounds.


Combat

Nighthunters use the cover of night and their quickness to take down foes. They attack by dashing into battle and swiping with their claws. They then use their breath weapon, and dart out of combat, circling around to attack again.

Breath Weapon(Ex): 5ft cone, anyone in the radius must make a reflex save DC:16) or be affected by the blindness spell, except the duration is 1 hour. The Nighthunter may only use this ability once every 5 rounds.

Darkness(Ex): As a full round action, a Nighthunter may target an object with it's darkness ability. This functions like the darkness spell(Caster level 3, DC 13), except for the following: Range is 80ft, Radius is 5ft. The Nighthunter will only use this ability on light emitting objects.

Fear of light: Nightstalkers are deathly afraid of light, to the point where they will not even go out on nights with a full moon. When attacking a group or camp, it will not close in until it's darkness ability has been used on every light emitting object near it's target.

Skills: A nightstalker receives a +8 racial bonus to Hide checks in areas that are not illuminated.
