Description[edit]

The Bloatfly is a distinctive ship representing the pinnacle of lizardman engineering, incorporating all the most advanced gear they can devise, steal, or purchase. These ships have a distinctive spindle shape, tapering at the nose and tail and studded with 18 wartlike bumps, each of which conceals a deadly double mounted ballista. Two sets of skeletal wings or outriggers protrude from the Bloatfly's flanks.

Ship Uses[edit]

Incubator: These ships are usually found in the orbit of warm suns and loaded with 36 tons of lizardman egg tubes. It is thought that incubating the eggs in the Bloatfly's carefully controlled environment guarantees stronger, smarter hatchlings, a theory that seems to be proving itself sound. This is also the reason such ships are so resolutely defended, as a generation of a race would be a fine prize indeed for neogi or illithid slavers.
