Description[edit]

Frequently used by undead, some desperate or fey spacefarers have also been sighted using the skeletons of gargantuan creatures as spacecraft. The statistics of such a ship naturally vary from skeleton to skeleton, and can include the bones of dragons, purple worms, or more commonly, kindori.

Ship Variants[edit]

Undead Raider: Since undead have no need to breathe, vessels crewed entirely by them can overload their vessels without fear of stressing the air envelope. The captain of such a vessel is often either a vampire, lich, or mummy lord, its officers vampire spawn, wights, or mummies, and its crew of zombies and skeletons, up to 100 crew may be present on any ship, though more often it is closer to 30-40. Such ships are often powered by a lifejammer helm, and if so, would require a supply of living victims to maintain operation.

Fey Cruiser: Sometimes certain fey creatures find the idea of riding around in a skeleton piques their interest, so they do it. Distinguishable from other Skeleton Ships by the layers of vines, mosses, ferns and fungi that often festoon them, these vessels are best given a wide berth as other ships tend to disappear when coming into contact with them. Some scholars say that the missing ships must have been annihilated by a fey lord or lady on board the other vessel, while others claim that they have been transported to Feyspace: the theoretical equivalent of Wildspace in the Feywild, a land where everything is more magnificent and more dangerous as well.
