Zaukharais are malevolent and vain creatures obsessed with beauty, though their standards of beauty are significantly different from those of most humanoids. The body of a zaukharai looks humanoid, but the head is utterly alien, with bulging eyes and a toothy maw, though no two zaukharais look exactly alike. Most creatures see zaukharais as all but identical, but a keen eye will notice incredibly subtle differences. Obsessed with Beauty. In a zaukharai's eyes, it is the most beautiful thing that has ever existed, with other zaukharais coming second. A zaukharai considers others of its kind as close enough to the most beautiful being that they deserve some modicum of respect, regarding them as unfortunate family members at worst. Slaving Braggarts. A zaukharai acts in an incredibly condescending manner, constantly bragging about its own beauty, even in battle. Zaukharais see menial work as beneath their perfect selves and are fond of enslaving lesser beings to act as workers and guards. The zaukharais themselves see no wrong in this, in fact, they believe they are doing their slaves a kindness by allowing them to exist in their presence. |
