Overview[edit]

This page offers a few articles giving useful overview over human society. Though the information is located elsewhere a better overview was needed,. I organized the most important information in the same place with focus on the generality.

Aristocracy[edit]

The aristocracy of humanity is not the refined socialites one expect, it is a breed descending from warrior hunters through before the days of the ancient empire forming a rough warrior aristocracy with distains for their farming cousins. It’s a grim lot but remember that they have the regal confidence of superior men and the tongues to match it. The fine men don’t mind living with their lesser as long as they their lesser respect and obey them and it doesn’t show its distain and it don’t expect serfs to submit to meaningless acts of humiliations. Rather they callously consider the common serfs as currency. If there are tyrants in the name of greater good then this is the elite of the greater good and they have the sense of honor behind every act of cruelty. Historically, the wealthy and elevated in the dead empire where hunters as much as merchants, politicians and high-ranking army officers and they lived in country manors or green palaces. From there they ruled the cosmopolites based on lofty considerations of such a remote reality. In the army the hunters had since long been recruited into elite regiments with unbroken and proud traditions. When the empire collapsed they separated from the legionaries recruited from commoners and survived when the conscription died out because the church and the peasants abolished the economical system that was capable of sustaining it. Disgusted by what they saw as the degeneration caused by civilian leaders, the remaining elite army took over government . The church switched side and gave their blessing to the army in exchange for the conversion of the army and military enforcement of the mass conversion of all of humanity. Then came Korad’s reforms, creating feudalism and chivalry for the society in the Teoryran lands so it was first then, was the Kingdom of Korad created. The lands in Aeoryran where the Empire was are almost gone, but Korad re-organized the dying remains as a theocracy to inspire the Kingdom. For most Teoryran dwellers, the Aeoryran land are synonymous with the afterlife. The old armories are all gone and very little military equipment is produced, instead the noble houses inherited master craft weapons and armories for generations, and they are as old and venerated as relicts. The houses both use and preserve these but give them only the finest bloodlines at birth or marriage.

Serfs and Free Men[edit]

Little can be expected from the wit of the lowest peasant except the most obvious but contrary to expectation peasants comes in many higher ranks and with higher wits. The farmers of humanity represent the majority of the race’s commoners all who are helpless against the warriors because despite all their work they are not as strong and vital as the warrior breed. The serfs are generally the dumbest and most inbreed of the commoners and the free peasants are equal to any noble in spirit and ability. The serfs makes up for their weakness by numbers and for their stupidity with affinity for common sense and very social but neither charismatic, beautiful and two peasants can rarely avoid needlessly provoking each others but they cooperate, learn from the group and unites against outsiders. The free peasants are much like the nobles except that they can stay and rule the fief when the lord is away. They are soldiers, police, government officials, Major dominos, Bailiffs, and elected councilors of the villages. Such peasants are charismatic in all ways full with spirit and vitality and wise in the ways of the land and the people. They are strong but breed for coordination and swiftness where the noble is breed for strength. They are more individualist than the serfs and have stronger sense of honor similar to that of the nobles. The lowest Peasants food and unhealthy living makes them short and deformed, the freed and higher peasants are selected from fine stock long with broad shoulders and high spirited spark in their eyes. High or low, most are a barbarian, blasphemous lot and many are descendants of under populated communities that have been xenomorphically closed and equally incestuous for millennia. As religion goes the peasants are extremely religious and opposed to adjustment to lets say for example new times, still their religion is either outright heathen on one end and in the other end they are “rural and simple and slightly heretical“ for Nobles. Peasants are thought by their priests that chastity, simplicity, poverty and humility are ways to practice their religion and most peasants have some half-hearted but genuine affinity to either but with great deal of sin and forgiveness at the side. So a peasant is punished by death for pride, lust, sloth or vanity which means he or she cannot cut nor arrange hair, wash, use colored or decorated clothes, and women always wear hoods and robes. Gluttony is also punishable by death, which means that the better food and recourses are reserved for the finer social classes. Freed peasants and their higher relatives, have very different religious sensitivities. They bless the lands for the wealth it brings and expects to live to be healthy and strong and gather many fine but simple decorations. They respect hygiene and use clean and fine clothes but use one-colored(green or red) or no-colored clothes( brown, grey, black or white). For them they are simple and humble folk, few agree but who can stop them? Most peasant religion encourage abuse of nature expressed clear shown disrespect to nature but some seem to genuine want to preserve nature for its beauty and closeness to God/Gods and not just for their own selfish desire to survive. Free or wealthy peasants have gradually more respect and love for nature. Because of their racial conservatism most humans are poor and unskilled farmers instead they excel in quantity, only the free and high peasants have genuine knowledge of the country and craft. Since the fall of the ancient empire and the raise of the new religion, most commoners left the cities and become little more than peasants slaves in the Teoryran colonies. In fact it was the peasants of the ancient empire that overthrew and destroyed that civilization. In that lost age, farmers and their urban relatives where soldiers, fighters and even administrators and received citizenship and civil rights. Now only the free and wealthiest minority of peasants have the same roles.

Clergy[edit]

The Priests are a strange lot, they belong to many contradicting ethnical group such as the Church itself being the same as a plurality of churches with fleeting distinction. There is a plurality of Churches including several State Churches who all holds common council meetings and a powerful authoritarian one Church. The separate organizations overlap or are schismatic depending on the flux of the opinions of the local priests. The One Church split or the plurality join but either side always got excuses for crusades or witch hunts. The plurality of the Churches and the Prime Church are in constant conflict over pluralism versus centralization represented by the Aeoryran theocracy that is little but a ghost city will soon be even less. In the Empire monotheism rose early because it was a reflection of the One True Empire and created as soon there was centralized society. While religious where still politically weak many different definitions and dogmas where allowed to coexist so nobody in the same cult even believed in the exact same thing. Priests where few but existed, and religion was spontaneously organized and lead democratically by people whenever they felt an excuse to celebrate their beliefs. These extremely harmful tenderness continued long after the raise of the more powerful church and after it moved to Toeryran. Humanity has a primitive and ill-defined religion but it is one religion full with heresies and genocidal inquisitions. There are no cannon, what pass for dogma is the heresies of the next few months. Urban priests believe all country priests are barbarian witches and heretics. Rural Priests believe all urban priests all evil witches and black magicians. Priest with noble blood usually become Bishops usually either try to neglect all of reality while contemplating their own piousness when that doesn’t work they all other priests as evil and corrupt. The High Clergy encourage a little bit of knowledge within their own ranks and authoritarian and sometimes military solution to all religious “debate”, this creates more religious questions than it solves however. The reoccurring heresies are the question of the religious legendary personalities where saints, prophets or God incarnate or just human beings. (Judaism, Islam, Christianity). The only universally human specific religious tenancies are worship of death, welcoming death, worship and acceptance of weakness, apathy and degeneration. Everywhere is human vitality slowly dying of and humanity making it worse for itself for the priests say good things are evil thing to the soul and the evil things are good for the soul. Ignorance, misery and desperation is the only religion all human Priests follows or at least it follows in their footsteps. This is a dark age in, so the Clergy are not the scholars common in other worlds who consider religion to be the most advanced science and source of profane knowledge in their world. What little pretend to rules all the human religion is the Great World Cathedrals and they are depended on the support of Knights. he World Cathedrals is what unified one or two Patriarchs inside them. In a very feudal way Archbishops support either Archbishopric seat. There are no clerical intellectuality powerful enough to created any systematic religion, instead the church forbids knowledge of the scripture and forbids intellectual and religious advances that could create heresies or criticize the church. Priests also have more basic conflicts with each other. Priests in remote villages are barbarian and encourage blind faith as a shield against change brought by outsiders. Priests in the cities are well educated in cathedral schools and members of Theologians Guilds where they can refine and systematize their beliefs to make it compatible with a limited research of worldly knowledge, in partial mathematics, languages and writing. Studies of magic falls under natural philosophy are widely scorned. These Scholastics, believe that religion is the basic source for all knowledge and that all believers have the right to know and read more about their own religion. They are barbarian prototypes of scientists because they are subjective and lack every scientific theories such as objectivism or base expire mentality and don’t separate fact from fiction. They are uncritical even to the most suspicious of sources. They are more selective with what books they burn and try to convert “books” making the writers seem religiously correctly just to have their effort being marked as heretical anyway, it is only a matter of time. The High Clergy are noble blooded priests born as bastards or unsuitable to be nobles. They are usually guaranteed high positions, though the positions are discussed, negotiated and given rather than inherited. The Church only requirement is loyalty and belief. Such Bishops are different from the barbarian Preachers mostly because they can read simple letters and write with some efforts, they also have good generalist idea of most theological and practical issues with a bias toward organization and administering clerical estates such as a cathedral city, bishopric mansion or cloistered communities. Their view of religion is usually that religion itself is a tyranny blessed the Grace of God and a direct representation of the order of the heavens. All pluralists churches usually have the same authoritarian model as The Church. There are a few members of the churches that practice magic, Monastic Orders of cloistered wizards that require oaths and have special dogmas, , Scholastic Priests in Guilds or schools with focus on magic who are first priests and not very powerful spell casters. The Gods usually do not grant spells, instead a few Priests give themselves divine spells by interpreting and connecting themselves to the distant deities. such priest gain spells from the religion as a group that basically takes their power from the deity and the deity usually don’t care either way as long as they believe in something that minimally resemble the deity’s true nature which is beyond such things as religion.

The bourgeoisie[edit]

It is a fairly recent development. Cities states have grown apart from the status quo of feudal communism, uniting with ideas of individualism, republics and revolutionary and utopian economical system, called money-using! Each citizen can trade gold or other rare gems measured by their weight for food, roof or even services. This makes it possible for citizens to earn their food and eat it at the same time, which is impossible for a serf who either eat his food or pays his bills with it. Citizens get the freedom to own whatever they want and can carry their wealth in their pockets instead of being distributed land or cows that limit’s the owners mobility. However even though the cities are self-governed they pretend to pay nominal allegiance to the King or nobles to make the country folks visit the cities. The only control the feudal lords or clergy have over the cities is to push all cities into a criminal atmosphere and all markets are black markets. The law is subjective, visitors follows feudal laws enforced when they come back home and the city citizen pretend to follow the visitors laws and revert to their own when the country folks leave. There are two markets in the cities the outsiders market and the black market. Country folks forbid money trade and trade in natural, such as animals, furs or salt but temptation of the black market still exist. The feudal market is a communism with fixed high prices with no profit for either side where nobles can buy luxuries and good products and peasants only can buy life necessaries. The Church set the prices and make sure nobody does usury. The Black Market is the real trade of the city where almost anything goes and anyone regardless of social status can buy anything as long as they have money but in some places the Guilds rule the black market like a mafia and enforcing some planned economy and slavery instead. Citizens votes in a direct democracy which can be seen as evil Plutocracy depending on what side you are on. Everyone donates a coin or two when voting to the city councilors who carry out the peoples which. If you can’t pay for your votes you can’t vote but everyone have civil rights Wealthy patrons and defected nobles donates large sums of money to public use in return for privileges and the peoples affection! The cities are welcoming to outsides and scorn xenophobia. The city states have devolved a standing army who receives a salary and have military police which have a tendency to disrespect civilians but nobody is randomly murdered like in the country side. Behind the scenes, most city states are not democratic at all but ruled by powerful families of merchants or socialites. Who are in effect the aristocracy of the cities. Many respect art and keep the citizens entertained and make sure the cities work, others are more interested in power and money for its own sake. Below the great families are the Guilds who represents crafts and professions, of which the Merchants Guilds are the most powerfully, who are basically synonymous with Sailors, fisheries and boat makers. A number of scholarly Guilds owes services to the Merchant Guild and many organizations within Theologians Guild and the Scholastic Guild dedicated themselves to the specific art of magic and spell casting in the service to their urban patrons who protect them against the wraith of the Church. A great deal of Guild members organize in secret societies devoted to learning science and magic, often with the goal of controlling or protecting a city. Then there are the highly organized Crafts Guilds who consists of artificers, craftsmen and metallurgists and everything in between. Craftsmen and artificers are often powerful characters capable. Many Merchants are indirectly controlled by the Guilds and allowed some independency often because they crave flexibility or want to travel or sells a specific service.

Noble Houses[edit]

Not all Nobles are members of a house that matters. The noble houses that do matters belong to the order of the seasons. Nobody actually knows this but some fairy tales speaks of the power and importance of the four seasons has to empower and dictate a noble house fate. In forgotten times the noble families where organized in four banners for powers than only survive as four shields the red opposed by the green, the black opposed by the white.

  • Red represents love, and war, and spring
  • Green. represents nature and health, and summer.
  • Black. Represents authority and Autumn.
  • White. Represents death, and spirit. winter

Nobody uses one colored shield or banners anymore, instead the shield of each noble house consist of at least two combined colors representing the two join families of a male and a female, which can be parents or marriage or one relative and one husband or wife. The lower esteem a house have the more colors they have which represent that they distant relatives of any important house. The highest noble houses have one dominant color and one lesser that usually represents victory in war or control over the woman’s side of the family.
