Kaltamorn Character Classes

Adventurers come from many walks of life and possess different skills, abilities, talents, and more. Character classes are of course meant to help reflect these aspects. This section is intended to help players choose which character class(es) to use for their characters.

Adventurer Class Commonality

While only a small percentage (roughly 1%) of the total population of the Kaltamorn region consists of adventurers, certain adventurer classes are more common than others. Magic casters such as wizards and sorcerers are especially rare, however. This section details the percentage of the population and what classes correspond to them. It also describes what percentage of the population are adventurers and how common certain levels are.

Table: Commonality of Classes
Category: Classes: Percentage: D100 Roll:
Very Common Fighter, Rogue 45% 1 - 45
Common Barbarian, Bard 30% 46 - 75
Uncommon Monk, Paladin, Ranger 15% 76 - 90
Rare Cleric, Druid 7% 91 - 97
Very Rare Sorcerer, Wizard 2% 98 - 99
Extremely Rare Other 1% 100

Class Level Commonality

The reason some level ranges are more common than others is because many adventurers either retire once they make their fortune (since adventuring, while lucritive, is also quite hazardous), don't put in enough work to make it to epic level, decide to play it safe by taking on lots of easier missions instead of the harder ones but by the time they reach the higher levels are too old to continue, get injured so badly that they're forced to retire, die during the missions required to reach the highest of levels, or suffer a fate worse than death. The following table describes how common adventurers of different levels are.

Table: Commonality of Levels
Category: Level Range: Percentage:
Very Common 1 - 6 40%
Common 7 - 9 34%
Uncommon 10 - 14 20%
Rare 15 - 18 5.9999%
Very Rare 19 - 20 0.000075%
Extremely Rare 20+ 0.000025%
