Description[edit]

The Xebec is the product of technologically advanced groundling cultures, an evolution of the Galley that derives its power from sails. Due to its adequate armament capabilities, it is actually fairly common in wildspace.

Ship Uses[edit]

Movers: The Xebec is the default craft for persons wishing to change residences, whether between planets or continents, being just the right size to reasonably carry a moderately wealthy person's goods. Those companies that rent such craft typically demand payment up front and flat out refuse to provide transport between crystal spheres unless paid very handsomely.

Giff Warship: The Giff, for some reason, are very fond of the Xebec's design, using it regardless of the availability of some other more suitable craft. Such ships usually have both jettisons replaced with bombards, reducing the cargo space to 2 tons, and are braced so as to increase the AC to 12.
