Way of the Great Ape[edit]
Monk Subclass
Ki Blast:
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can hurl searing bolts of magical radiance.
You gain a new attack option that you can use with the Attack action. This special attack is a ranged spell attack with a range of 30 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Wisdom modifier to its attack roll. Its damage is radiant, and its damage die is a 1d6.
The Great Ape Form:
At 3rd level, as an action, you transform into your Great Ape Form, provided you still have your Saiyan tail. You roar loudly when you transform, alerting everyone within 60 feet of your presence.
While in the Great Ape Form, you’re one size larger, and your martial arts die increase by one, and your Ki Blast feature’s die increases by one as well. Your Natural Defense switches to 10+Con+Dex in this form, instead of the normal 10+Dex+Wis Natural Defense the Monk has. This form lasts for one minute.
You can do this per long rest equal to your proficiency bonus.
Ki improvements:
At 6th level, your Ki Blast skill evolves. It gains the benefits of “When you take the Attack action on your turn and use this special attack as part of it, you can spend 1 ki point to make the special attack twice as a bonus action. When you gain the Extra Attack feature, this special attack can be used for any of the attacks you make as part of the Attack action.”
Roaring Cannon:
At 6th level, while in the Great Ape Form, you can fire a ki blast from your mouth as an action. This special attack is a ranged spell attack with a range of 60 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Wisdom modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is radiant, and its damage die is a 1d20. You may spend up to 10 ki, adding half of the value rounded down to the attack and damage rolls.
Proud Saiyan Fighter:
At 11th level, you gain Extra Attack (3).
While using your Roaring Cannon feature, you can add one martial arts die to the damage rolls. (Ex: 1d20+1d8, though because you must be in the Great Ape Form to use this feature, it’s 1d20+1d10)
Final Form (?):
At 17th level, the “You may spend up to 10 ki, adding half of the value rounded down to the attack and damage rolls.” Feature of Roaring Cannon becomes “You may spend up to 10 ki, adding the value to the attack and damage rolls.”
You also now gain temporary health equal to your level when you enter the Great Ape Form.
While in the Great Ape Form, you now add 1d10 to the damage roll to all Unarmed Strikes, Ki Blasts, and Roaring Cannon shots.
