True Dragon Descendants[edit]
Personality[edit]
They are a very proud and self confident race who don't get a joke and who get irritated very quickly, they often brag about their achievements and they are very attached to their goods. However they are often considered a light in the middle of the darkness because of their bright mood and their smart yet childish attitude and they care about their friends and family members, who sometimes become one.
Physical Description[edit]
They can be either very tall, between 6-7 ft for the females and 7-8 ft for the males, or human sized, and they usually have a grand body. They are half dragons half humans so they may be more similar to a dragon or to a human and you may choose a couple of dragonish characteristics and a couple of human characteristics, you may decide to have a tail, long pointed ears, peculiar eye shapes or even horns and other dragonish things, however they don't naturally have wings. Normally they have strange eye colors like phosphorescent bright colors or metallic colors; they don't have a usual hair style, they can have long or short hair of every color that a human may have or the color of the scales a dragon may have. Their skin may be as the skin of a human or it may be scaled as the skin of a dragon. They become adults like humans but then they slow down the growth becoming timeless creatures, at an age between 20-40 years they stop to become physically older, however some of them keep becoming bigger and bigger.
Relations[edit]
They get along quite well with all the races that tend to be good or neutral because of their child-like friendly attitude, however they almost never get along with evil races because of their irritable temperament.
Alignment[edit]
They don't have a specific alignment however they tend to be chaotic good or neutral.
Lands[edit]
They don't have a favorite habitat, they can get used to living in every climate and ground like humans.
Religion[edit]
They almost never worship a god but they tend to respect them all, however they usually worship dragons and dragon kins.
Language[edit]
They naturally speak common and draconic and they can learn any other language.
Racial Traits[edit]
- +2 Strength, +2 Intelligence or Wisdom or Charisma; you may decide to add a +2 to Constitution and get a −2 to Dexterity: True Dragon Descendants are strong and have a mental strength of some kind, some of them, normally those with mostly scaled bodies, may have a little bit less of agility but they are tougher.
- Humanoid (Dragon, Human): They are human-like creatures with some human characteristics and some dragonish characteristics.
- Medium or Large: As a Large creature, True Dragon Descendants gain a –1 size bonus to Armor Class, a –1 size bonus on attack rolls, a -4 size bonus on Hide checks, and +4 bonus on grapple checks, but they use larger weapons than humans use, and their lifting and carrying limits are double of those of a Medium character.
- True Dragon Descendants base land speed is 30 feet.
- Scaled body: the True Dragon Descendants who give up 2 Dexterity to gain 2 Constitution gain a +1 to natural AC thanks to their scaled tough body.
- Dragon Weight: you gain a +2 to checks made to resist Bull Rushes, Trip attacks and every other attack made to make you fall or lose balance.
- Lesser Dragon Breath: once per day True Dragon Descendants may use a breath weapon of an element you decide at the beginning of the day, you can choose any element that is used by a dragon, your breath is a 2 ft wide line that's 30 ft long; your breath does 1d4 damage for every 3 levels (1d4 at level 1) and has a Reflex save DC 10 + 1/3 your level + your Constitution mod. This Breath attack can't use bonuses of metabreath feats.
- Lesser Frightful Presence: once per day True Dragon Descendants may activate a lesser version of the dragon Frightful Presence for 2 minutes per 4 levels (2 minutes at level 1). All creatures within 20 ft must throw a Will save DC 10 + 1/3 your level + your Intelligence/Wisdom/Charisma mod (depending on which one you increased with the racial bonus) or be shaken for a round.
- Automatic Languages: Common and Dragonic. Bonus Languages: All but secret languages.
- Favored Class: None.
