What a shame! Nothing links here! Nobody can find this material! I'm going to add it to the class feature variants section. If you don't like it, please just undo my edit, but I think it's cool stuff. --Kydo (talk) 10:03, 16 July 2016 (MDT)

Removed the stacking clause from Focused Spell because it both changes how the spell works for its duration and is activated by the spell's casting. IMO, Empowered only works how it does so you don't have to try to remember whether you used, say, Subtle or Quickened on a spell that deals damage later. Thought of changing it so that you get adv on a concentration check when you make the check instead, but decided that felt a bit weak and not as involved with the spell, flavorwise, as Empowered.
Left Invisible's stack clause in, though, since it's strictly less useful, mechanically, than any other option (including Subtle, which preserves stealth and dodges Counterspell). Knowlessman (talk) 03:38, 29 March 2017 (UTC)

Maximized Spell means you can either reroll Magic Missile (with Empowered Spell, from the PHB), or deal the full 15 with it for the same cost. You can also spend a measly 3 points to have Fireball deal the full 48 to multiple targets (pre-save anyway), etc. This is nonsense. We need some sort of limit here. Perhaps only maximize damage for one target, and/or up the cost to at least spell level + 1? Knowlessman (talk) 09:14, 3 July 2017 (MDT)

Agreed. Edited. —Fermat (talk) 06:33, 8 July 2017 (MDT)

Do you think Ascendant could stack up? --GALNERIVS (talk) 10:35, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
