Each creature within 10 feet of that point must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 100 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The bolt ignores resistance to radiant damage and it deals double damage against objects and structures. In space, the bolt has no maximum range.

The oldest and most powerful of the giants, star giants are extremely advanced both magically and technologically, preferring to dwell in the dark reaches of space away from "primitive" worlds or civilizations, which they find to be dreadfully boring. As a consequence, most scholars do not even believe they exist. Star giants are taller than other giants, scraping the height limit for Huge size, and they have eyes which glow like stars themselves, changing in color and intensity with their mental state. They are neither inherently benevolent or malevolent; instead, their default state is one of uncaring detachment, as they have no more thought or respect to creatures which are not their intellectual equals than humans do towards ants. As such, in the event that most creatures interact with a star giant, they will often find the giant's actions to be completely random or arbitrary, just as likely to help or hinder based off of their own unknowable logic. |
