Archdemon[edit]

A tall humanoid with large, swooping horns motions their hand and lets a low chant in Abyssal fill the air, and the door in front of them, previously locked, clicks open and the Archdemons walks through the door, tail flicking behind them. They slip outside into the darkened streets, torchlight illuminating their reddened skin and glinting on their horns. Large wings erupt from their back, and with a gleeful cackle they take to the skies, causing humans to lock the doors as the fiend makes its way out of the city,

Physical Description[edit]

The archdemons do not have an appearance as such, they simply resort to molding themselves to get the one they like the most, once they do that appearance persists for eternity, although that does not mean that they cannot hide their appearance with illusions and spells, as their deceptive nature dictates.

History[edit]

When the light falls and the darkness looms the archdemons appear, it is said that since the universe was created they began to expand evil, chaining the young world in the depths of the abyss. They manipulated both mortals and gods, finding their happiness in their despair, thus creating a cycle which is repeated in a spiral of pain and suffering. Many were the ones who tried to summon them, only to fall into the dark well that represents coming into contact with one of them, is the result of performing such a stupid act. These beings have spread lies, hatred, treachery, deceit, and trickery and despite all this, to this day, they continue to cause terror. Few are the ones who have managed to murder an archdemonium, but unfortunately these beings are the evil, ending them is impossible, when one is hunted waits patiently, licking his wounds inside the abyss, only to resurface at some point and continue to cause fear in the hearts of others, they are the embodiment of terror.

Society[edit]

Demons live in a hierarchy of sorts- the biggest bully rules, and Archdemons are the best at bullying. Other demons flock to serve them, to maybe, eventually, have a time that will come when they can usurp their master and ascend to the throne of lies the Archdemon rules from. Many of the current Archdemons were but mere shadow demons or quasits, the best at cunning and subterfuge, and managed to strike the killing blow on their old master, leaving them with a title of Archdemon. Though once they get there, they're at the top of the pack. They're so far above every other demon they've ever known, and that isolation may drive them mad, knowing they are so much more but also so much less than they were.
