Wolfbrother Conclave[edit]

Ranger Subclass

Wolfbrothers are individuals that bear a deep empathic connection to wolves, being able to communicate with them and control them. Wolfbrothers also have a deep connection to the dream, and some more powerful wolfbrothers can physically travel to the plane of dreams.

Conclave Spells

Also at 3rd level, you learn an additional spell of 1st level or higher when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Wolfbrother Spells table. Each spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of ranger spells you know.

Ranger Level Spells
3rd expeditious retreat
5th beast sense
9th haste
13th divination
17th tree stride
Telepathic Link

Starting at 3rd level, you have a telepathic connection with other wolves and wolf brothers. You can communicate with them and know their location up to a range of 1 mile.

When communicating with wolves using this feature, you understand and can be understood by them as if you both spoke the same language.

Wolf Companion

Also at 3rd level, you gain the companionship of a wolf, that fight by your side. Your wolf companion acts independently of you, but it always obeys your commands. In Combat, it rolls its own Initiative and acts on its own turn.

On the first turn of combat, the wolf takes the Dodge action and remains within 5 feet of you. If you are attacked, it takes the Attack action against your attacker. You can command it beforehand or on your turn as a bonus action to take another action. After you give the companion a command, it will follow through to the best of its abilities, until completion or until you change the command. If you are reduced to 0 hit points, it acts on its own, but will do its best to protect you.

The wolf companion have a number of hit points equal to (its Constitution modifier + 5) x your Ranger level, unless it has originally more. It also have a number of hit dice equal to your Ranger level, unless it normally has more.

The companion adds your Proficiency bonus to its AC and to its saving throws. In addition, you have advantage on all Wisdom (Animal Handling) checks made against your wolf companion. In addition, when making attacks, the companion add its Strength or Dexterity modifier (whichever is higher) + your proficiency bonus.

Your wolf companion Strength or Dexterity score (the highest between the two) and Constitution score are 1 point higher. They also increase in +1 whenever you gain an Ability Score Improvement.

If your wolf companion dies or is dismissed by you, you can attract another after 24 hours.

Heightened Senses

At 7th level, your senses are heightened, turning you able to see, hear and sense things from huge distances. You gain the following benefits:

  • You can see up to 1 mile away with no difficulty, able to discern even fine details as though looking at something no more than 100 feet away from you.
  • You gain darkvision up to a range of 60 feet and dim light doesn't impose disadvantage on your Wisdom (Perception) checks.
  • You gain advantage on your Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on your senses of smell and hearing.
Wolf Caller

At 11th level, you can attract at second wolf to benefit from your animal companion feature. You can command up to two wolves with the same bonus action.

Dreamwalker

At 15th level, you are able to enter the realm of dreams both physically and during your sleep, which grants you the ability to travel through it and to receive prophecies from it. During a long rest, you can enter the Dream Realm (or the Astral Plane if you don't have a Dream Realm in your setting) as if you had cast astral projection targeting yourself, lasting as long as you are asleep. You gain the benefits of a long rest as normal. When you do so, upon finishing that rest, you gain the benefits of having cast divination

In addition, you can also travel in flesh to the dream, by casting plane shift, targeting only yourself and your wolf companions, without using spell slots and material components. Once you do so, you can't do so again until you complete a long rest.
