Sentient Automaton[edit]
Borne of steel, bronze, and synthetic flesh, these men and women differ from Warforged in that their sentience comes from complex clockwork machinery, rather than magic. Handcrafted marvels of science, these automatons tend to live solitary lives, being built for a specific purpose and too complex to mass produce. As with any tool, there are different types of automata for different purposes, from massive, inhuman war machines, garbage disposal workers and construction workers, to spies, lab assistants and sex workers nearly indistinguishable from organic beings.
Physical Description[edit]
Physical appearance varies based on purpose, as well as the "parent's" race and personal preference. Automatons built for manual labor tend to be large, inhuman behemoths, sacrificing artificial skin and facial expression for raw strength. Automatons built for social relations may be near indistinguishable from an organic, save for a few odd habits and body language.
Society[edit]
due to difficulties surrounding their construction, automatons are incredibly rare, sentient ones even more so. Because of this, Automatons do not have a central culture, instead creating their own personal philosophies based on personal experience and the beliefs of the surrounding organics. you speak the languages of your creator, plus one of your choice
Automaton Names[edit]
Lacking a culture of their own, automatons are usually assigned names or numbers by their creators. As such, names rarely mean anything to them, and automatons typically just pick a name they find interesting or descriptive of their personality and physical build.
