Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: Missing a history section and most other background sections are lacking. What does the race typically look like, do they have any defining physical characteristics? How does the race get along with other races for the society question? Ect.

Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: This race's ability score increases and the Coal Powered trait are completely overpowered. Typically a race only get access to a +2/1 ability score increase or +1 to all ability scores as too much more is far too powerful. Taking damage, having a negative ability score increase, or other negative traits should not be used to balance races in 5e. In addition, the Coal Powered trait has tons of problems. It has round counting(durations in 5e are 1 round/1 minute/10 minutes/1 hour/ect), it alters your ability scores which a trait or feature shouldn't be able to do, and the overclocking part in general is far too good. Finally, you should never be able to gain more than proficiency with weapons as it would break bounded accuracy.

Broom Icon.svg.png This page needs grammatical help. Reason: This race has some confusing writing and lots of small grammatical mistakes such as capitalizing races when they shouldn't be, not capitalizing ability scores, the Purpose Built trait is incorrectly worded, and various other small grammar mistakes can be found throughout. See Help:When to Italicize and Capitalize as well.

Sentient Automaton[edit]

Borne of steel, bronze, and synthetic flesh, these men and women differ from Warforged in that their sentience comes from complex clockwork machinery, rather than magic. Handcrafted marvels of science, these automatons tend to live solitary lives, being built for a specific purpose and too complex to mass produce. As with any tool, there are different types of automata for different purposes, from massive, inhuman war machines, garbage disposal workers and construction workers, to spies, lab assistants and sex workers nearly indistinguishable from organic beings.

Physical Description[edit]

Physical appearance varies based on purpose, as well as the "parent's" race and personal preference. Automatons built for manual labor tend to be large, inhuman behemoths, sacrificing artificial skin and facial expression for raw strength. Automatons built for social relations may be near indistinguishable from an organic, save for a few odd habits and body language.

Society[edit]

due to difficulties surrounding their construction, automatons are incredibly rare, sentient ones even more so. Because of this, Automatons do not have a central culture, instead creating their own personal philosophies based on personal experience and the beliefs of the surrounding organics. you speak the languages of your creator, plus one of your choice

Automaton Names[edit]

Lacking a culture of their own, automatons are usually assigned names or numbers by their creators. As such, names rarely mean anything to them, and automatons typically just pick a name they find interesting or descriptive of their personality and physical build.
