A collection of cruel edged thorns that lies heavy as an iron lump on your crossbow. While most mundane users find it varying levels of useful, spellcasters above the level of 15 will be quite amused by its power. It bursts apart mid flight, showering the enemy in 5 ragged bolts for ordinary users, each dealing 1d6 damage.

For spellcasters, the pod erupts into a hail of 5+(intelligence score/2) thorns, which ignore armor and deal 1d6 damage each.
