MYTHIC ACTIONS
Mythic Actions are used to represent creatures so rare that many people doubt their existence. Mythic Actions are used to show that a creature has had so little contact with other creatures that it will act viciously and quickly if it encounters one.
To create a creature with Mythic Actions, give it a Designer Note with a link to this page. Very few creatures would have Mythic Actions and Legendary Actions and/or Reactions. If one happens to, place Mythic Actions before any Legendary Actions and after any Reactions. Copy the following description for Mythic Actions and make to Mythic Actions title bold and in big text:
At the start of its turn, the (creature) gains 1d4 + 2(1) mythic actions and loses any remaining ones. After the (creature) or another creature it can see takes an action, the (creature) can use any number of the mythic action options below as long as it doesn’t spend more than 3(2) mythic actions. The (creature) can’t use the same mythic action twice on the same turn.
You can instead write the following to create the name and description: {{Mythic Actions|creature=<--creature name-->|numberof+=<--number of additional mythic actions gained-->|max=<--maximum number of mythic actions that can be spent at a time-->}}
Use options below like these example ones:
Damage (Costs 0 Actions). The (creature) chooses a creature it can see. That creature takes 1 force damage.
Blast (Costs 1 Action plus Additional Ones). Melee Spell Attack: +X to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: X (number of additional actions spentd10 + X) force damage.
As you may see, you must write how many mythic actions an option costs, no matter what. If it says “plus additional actions” you must spend the base cost of mythic action and at least 1 additional mythic action. For example, if a (creature) uses Blast and it spends 2 mythic actions, the attack deals 1d10 + X force damage on a hit. Some options can cost 0 mythic actions, though as stated, a creature can’t use the same option twice on the same turn.
A creature can’t use mythic actions if it can’t take normal actions, and it can only use option(s) if the creature that triggered it takes a normal action, not a bonus/mythic/legendary action.
(1) The number of additional actions gained by a creature at the start of its turn equals its proficiency bonus. Example: a creature with mythic actions and 5 CR would gain 1d4 + 3 mythic actions.
(2) The limit of mythic actions a creature with them can spend at a time is 1 + the creature’s proficiency bonus. Example: a creature with mythic actions and 5 CR would be able to spend 3 mythic actions at a time.
