Mystic Sniper[edit]

"You may not be able to find me, but I got your back."
—Triviliue, Raptorean Mystic Sniper

You are running through the woods, and a twig snaps. An arrow whizzes past your head. You quickly glance at where the arrow hit; it is on fire but there is a piece of paper on it. You grab the piece of paper, and in common, you read, "You should have kept running."

Mystic Snipers are a new organization; They have learned how to hide, shoot, and mix in magic practices into their chosen fighting style. They have gone a path to stay hidden from view, destroying those they can, and protecting those they want to.

Becoming a Mystic Sniper[edit]

Some attempt to try and find a balance between magic and mundane. A person who can hide amongst nature, who can cast powerful spells, and can even handle a fight one on one. Mystic Snipers are those that have, through concentration on their mundane and mystical practices, they have learned how to mix them for the best. Normally fighters who take on practice as a sorcerer goes down this path.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Mystic Sniper.

Enhance Arrow (Su): At 1st level, every nonmagical arrow an mystic sniper nocks and lets fly becomes magical, gaining a +1 enhancement bonus. Unlike magic weapons created by normal means, the archer need not spend gold pieces to accomplish this task. However, an archer's magic arrows only function for him.

At level 3 he can give that arrow an elemental property (Fire, Frost, Shock). At Level 5 the arrow doubles it's range.

Imbue Arrow (Sp): At 2nd level, an mystic sniper gains the ability to place an area spell upon an arrow. When the arrow is fired, the spell's area is centered where the arrow lands, even if the spell could normally be centered only on the caster. This ability allows the archer to use the bow's range rather than the spell's range. A spell cast in this way uses its standard casting time and the arcane archer can fire the arrow as part of the casting. The arrow must be fired during the round that the casting is completed or the spell is wasted. If the arrow misses, the spell is wasted.

Hide in Plain Sight: In any natural terrian a 4th level mystic sniper can roll a hide check even while observed.

Spellcasting: At each level, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one arcane spellcasting class before becoming a Mytsic Sniper, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.
