Mimic Slime (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Mimic slimes are small round and colorful (varing from a pure blue to a full rainbow). Their color is determined by their origin and their diet (a mimic slime from a snowy region is far more likley to be a lighter blue to blend in with their surroundings). They posses no mouth nor eyes as they still retain most of the features of a slime.
Mimic slimes are a branch of normal slimes that were formed from a bounty of magic in they world conjoining with a normal slime. this evolution happened several hundred years after the evolution of the main races. The term mimic slime was coined by an elf who witnessed their innate ability to polymorph.
Mimic slimes society is very reclusive tending to consist of only small groups of them (consisting of groups of 2-3 families) so their society varies tremendously depending on regions being as they are considered monsters many races typically try to avoid these groups.
