Hybrid Variant[edit]

This variation plays with the idea of genes, and dominant and recessive traits.

Before rolling for character, decide which races you wish your characters parents to be, then decide which shall be dominant and which shall be recessive. With that decided, depending on your class, list the abilities you want to put your points into, from highest to lowest. Then roll 2 sets of abilities. Whichever ability has the highest combined total becomes the abilities for your dominant parent, whereas the lower becomes that of the recessive parent, you then add the parents modifiers to it. You MUST choose 4 abilites from the dominant parent and 2 from the recessive, making your final stats, even if this means having to take lower stats in some cases.

You don't have the best of both worlds trait, but instead gain the perfect blend trait. Your size is also inherited directly from the dominant parent.

Perfect Blend. When determining Traits, take all but 1 trait from the dominant parent, and 1 from the recessive. You MUST take any traits that parents share (E.G. Both Firbolg and Goliaths have the "Powerful Build" trait, so this must be taken when taking traits from the dominant parent.)
