Grand Line[edit]

The world of One Piece takes place in the pirate era, where people are just starting to learn how to make guns and are adventuring on the sea. Pirates range from a variety of people, from men wanting to be free, to others wanting wealth and power, though they must fight against the marine to pursue their dreams. But this all started because of one man...

Twenty years ago, Wealth, Fame, Power! Gold Roger, the King of the Pirates, obtained this and everything else the world had to offer! And his dying words drove countless souls to the seas!

My treasure? It's yours if you want it. Find it! I left everything this world has to offer there!

These words lured men to the grand line, pursuing dreams greater than they ever dared to imagine! This is the time known as the Great Pirate Era!
