Garotte of the Cenobite are a pair of fist wraps with a magical, semi-corporeal wire connecting the two. While wearing this item, you gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls for your unarmed strikes, and you can't equip weapons or shields.
When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can attempt to grapple the creature you hit. You make your grapple check with advantage. While your opponent is grappled, it has disadvantage on all attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws until the grapple ends. In addition, a grappled target takes 1d8 slashing damage every round. You can spend 2 ki points to channel your energy through the wire, dealing 1d8 force damage to a grappled creature. For every additional ki point you spend, the damage increases by 1d8.
When you make an unarmed strike, you can spend 3 ki points to deal additional force damage to the target on a hit. The damage is equal to 1d10+your Wisdom modifier. You can also spend 2 ki points as a bonus action to double the range of your unarmed strikes until the end of your turn. Unarmed strikes made in this way deal slashing damage instead of bludgeoning damage.
As an action, you can slash a creature across the face, provided it has eyes. Make a melee attack against a creature within 5 feet of you that has its eyes exposed. On a hit, the target takes 2d6 slashing damage and is blinded for 1d4 days. On a critical hit, it is blinded permanently, or until healed by regenerate or similar magic. When this happens, you can spend 6 ki points to make the blindness incurable by anything less than a wish spell.
As a bonus action, you can enter a state of spiritual freedom, allowing your ki to flow without hindrance. You must maintain concentration to stay in this state, as if concentrating on a spell. While in this state, your unarmed strikes deal extra force damage equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1). In addition, you can use your action or bonus action to spend at least 1 ki point, dealing 1d8 force damage for each In point you spend. Once your concentration to maintain this state is broken, you must finish a long rest before using this property again.
