Physical Qualities[edit]

Draenei males have tendrils coming out of their chin and a fan-like forehead plate which rises and overlaps other forehead plates behind it. Male draenei have large tails which are held erect by developed muscle structure. The female of the species exhibits marked differences: rather than the forehead plates featured on the male, they have vaguely horn-shaped cranial extensions that extend over the upper cranium and end on either side of the crown. Female cranial tendrils sprout behind the ear and are typically long enough to reach the shoulders. Their tendrils are thinner than the male's. Female draenei tails are shorter and have a lower muscle density. In both genders, the hooves are relatively large.

Draenei mature at about the same rate as humans, but they live a fair bit longer. Their inherent magic nature and their connection to the Eredar often see Draenei to live well past 150 years old. Often remaining vigorous until the very end.-

Playing an Draenei[edit]

Draenei are a deeply spiritual race. Their very nature holds them closer to the arcane energies of the world around them than most other races. As a result, Draenei often feel a deep connection to the world around them and the creatures that inhabit it. Draenei value the importance of family, but they rarely spend their entire lives in one place. Nearly all Draenei spend some amount of time adventuring, whether to strengthen their inborn talents, or to spread the wisdom of the Naaru. They often make friends and rarely part with them.

Draenei Characteristics: Tough, Mysterious, Devout, Righteous, Loyal, Proud, and Good-Natured.

Male Names: Alasteir, Enkaat, Aranat, Orenar, Bayoran, Teltaar, Tuuril.

Female Names: Alanae, Sayaad, Man'ari, Shiala, Squarana, Tiala, Theriana.

Draenei Adventurers[edit]

Three sample Draenei adventurers are described below.

Alasteir is a Draenei Invoker . He travels the land, spreading the light of the Eredar and Snuffing out any evil he comes upon. He is seldom quiet when in the company of others. He is quick to speak and at times his outspoken nature gets him in trouble. His companions often find themselves in trouble when Alasteir can't hold his tongue. "Yes, the mayor is accepting bribes, but he's also very well guarded and WE'RE IN THE CENTER OF TOWN!"

Alanae is a Draenei Warlock. She has studied for many years to master the inherent magic of her people. She reveres the Eredar, but she is more concerned with the ways she can shape the arcane energies around her than about the Light of the Eredar. She set out from the refuge of her home land in search of more knowledge and adventure. She is calculating and sometimes people see her as cold. However, that couldn't be farther from the truth, as any that have known her long will tell you.

Orengo is a Draenei Swordmage. His size and strength make him a formidable enemy. The battle hammer and thick armor that cover him make him a VERY formidable enemy. Orengo is a passionate warrior. He chooses to serve the Light by crushing out the darkness of the world. He adventures to face new challenges and to eradicate the evils of the world. He is often quiet, but fiercely loyal to those he calls friends..--
