Darvatoura's Crazy Carriage: Darvatoura was a CG succubus who loved new ways to travel. She, along with a gnome master crafter named Broog Spellshaper, came up with this horseless carriage for fast travel around the city and countryside. The first one was a black carriage with gold trim. It was capable of attaining a speed of over 120 mph on land. At these speeds, the ride was rough and hazardous to all in the carriage. To the virtually immortal succubus, however, it was her favorite means of getting around. After destroying several prototypes, the final design was equipped with shocks, brakes, a means of speed control, and a wheel to steer. The mechanical component uses a toy-like wind-up key turned by an unseen servant and the fuel for maintaining the magic is a crossed potion of 2 parts lamp oil, 1 part potion of nystrals magical aura, and 3 parts strong ale with high alcohol content (at least 80 proof). Some have tried lesser versions with 2 wheels to mimic horses and ones with 6 wheels to carry large cargo loads. These have mixed results and are never endorsed by the designers. An unfortunate side effect of the influence of the abyss is that if the environment is not moving fast enough for the pilot of the carriage, they can fly into an unprovoked rage (like a barbarian) on a failed willpower save of 19. Hence the name crazy car-rage. Many armies have tried to force the mass creation of the carriage, less the cost to create is high having a purchase price of 75,000pg along with the upkeep, make the vehicle suitable for either the elite rich or adventurers who don't want to fly. Spells needed are unseen servent, animate object, haste, spell absorption. The body requires a masterwork clock work carriage of no less than 30,000gp dc 35. There are 7 original carriages cruising around Greyhawk, sold or gifted to patrons and friends who believed in Darvatoura's commitment to good.
