Bayonet Rifle (5e Equipment)

Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: Nothing about adding a bayonet to a rifle changes how the rifle functions in any major way. A bayonet seems like it would work better as a standalone weapon or modification that can be added to existing weapons.

Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Compared to 5e's official musket, this deals slightly less damage, but has 4 times the shot capacity, almost 3 times the range, and melee capability.

Bayonet Rifle

Martial Ranged Weapons
Weapon Cost Damage Weight Properties
Bayonet Rifle 95 gp 1d10 piercing / 1d4 piercing 12 lb. Ammunition (range 100/400), heavy, reload (4 shots), special, two-handed

This rifle features a simple blade strapped to the barrel for melee combat. While wielding this weapon with both hands, you can engage in two-weapon fighting as if you were wielding this weapon in one hand, and a light blade that deals 1d4 piercing damage in your off hand. It is slightly more cumbersome than a normal rifle of similar caliber.
