This page is of questionable balance. Reason: An arming sword and a shortsword are one in the same. Similar length, single-handed, and a medium sized blade. Just because a more technical name is used, doesn't make them different weapons. If your character has a shortsword, just have them call it an arming sword. You can help D&D Wiki by better balancing the mechanics of this page. When the mechanics have been changed so that this template is no longer applicable please remove this template.
