||Once per day Coeus can make a normal melee attack to deal 20 extra damage against an evil foe.
Archmage Coeus seems to be infinitely knowledgeable about the future. Whether he does this through magic or pure intellect, it is unknown. What is known is that if he tells you what will come and he is not lying then it will come. If he lies to you, then he did it to make something else occur based on your response to his lie. He does hold some virtue in truth, however, and will always tell you the truth after the event has come to pass.
He is very quick to stop any outbursts when he is speaking and does not want to waste time with even esteemed adventurers. Any arguments with his methods will quickly be silenced with one of his various incapacitation spells. Anything that would be particularly damaging to what he is saying (such as yelling out something against his sovereignty during a speech), he will silence the person before they even have a chance to say what they wanted to.
He also regards his blood as pure and disdains all the commoners with "dirt blood" as he calls it. He will often send these people to their deaths just to save a few nobles in battle. His discrimination is very strong and he holds commoners in the same regard as animals.
One confounding thing about him is that he does not participate in battles. For some reason he refuses to fight.
Such a pure blooded man as Archmage Coeus must be good. Unfortunately his actions seem to dictate his alignment differently. He does not see this and actually believes himself to be pure and true. With this belief and his pure blood, he is treated as LG for all respective purposes despite any actions he takes.
This character's name comes from the Titan in Greek Mythology. My original research led me to believe Coeus was the Titan of Intelligence (which I wanted to represent with the Archmage's constant analysis of the future). As it happens, however, I cannot find any mention of it in the actual translated Greek sources, so it may well be not true. If anyone can direct me to a mention in a Greek source (such as something by Hesiod), please let me know on the talk page!
This character at some point will have a "brother character" called Chronos, whom is the Titan of time. Though Coeus is certainly interested in the future and using it to change, Chronos is interested in the past.
