Tulock was the only child of a fairly poor family in the northern part of the continent. His father, Wonlock Pry, was an adventuring wizard, an utterly selfish, though neutral character. His mother, Sarah, took care of him in his youth, but time passed, his father took more care of him, training him in wizardry until Wonlock decided adventure was more important. Tulock's father left home, and sent Tulock to a school for magic. Tulock's cousin, Carria, went to this same school and was the only person Tulock was close to, largely keeping to himself throughout school, but always thinking on what he would do next. Tulock's memories are quite faded of his father, but he tries to follow his father's footsteps, always aiming to do what benefits him most. He has gained a bit of knack for stealing, however, so he is often inclined to thieve valuable and magical items. He never made many friends in school or outside, but he hoped to have a few children, even if only attracting women via the wealth he gains.

Tulock hasn't been the most successful thief in the world, despite his high intellect. So he hasn't really caught up a name for himself. The whereabouts of his parents are completely unknown, and Carria is working in a distant Magician's Guild. His parents have never particularly loved or hated him. Tulock's father seemed to raise him for some certain purpose, though Tulock is unaware of any such purpose or goal his father has, or had...

Over his adventuring career, Tulock has annoyed many past and current deities, defiled temples, failedly attempted to woo ladies, and adventured to gain control of evil relics. He managed to get his grubby hands on a lovely seer, Agatha, and wed her, producing two children.

His later ambitions resulted in a rather rash decision to accept Lichhood, resulting in his past existence for approximately 1,000 years. Tulock retains the flesh around his skeleton by casting Gentle Repose, rather ritualistically. He has spent his life (and unlife) researching the fabrics of space and time. Having raised infamous evil figures from the depths of hell itself, his life has no foreseeable future, and no foreseeable end.

Designer's note: Though Tulock is CR 27, as per DMG, this may not accurately reflect the challenge presented. Were it up to me, I would place the CR at 20 or so.
