Ring, uncommon (requires attunement)

Many denizens of the world, feeling uncomfortable in their existing bodies, choose to permanently alter them. While elves may change their bodies overnight, most other races don't have that luxury.

These rings are typically personalised to the individual wearer, so their altered self appears similar to their original self. Most rings are used for gender transition, though some rarer rings are used to grant wearers the other effects of the alter self spell, such as water breathing.

Alter Self. An attuned wearer's body gradually changes to an altered version of their body. If the wearer removes the ring, their body returns to its original state. After 30 consecutive days of wearing the ring, an attuned wearer's body permanently becomes the altered version.
