The dangerous gelatinous cubes are known to a lot of adventurers. Less known is the slimeling, a human figure made of slime. These creatures hunt for prey in dungeons, just like gelatinous cubes. However, they are a lot smarter, and even able to speak common.

Play a Slimeling if you want...

  • To look like a human made of slime.
  • To engulf your foes.
  • To be able to squeeze through tight spaces.
  • To be a member of a race that favors the Fighter, Ranger and Rogue classes.

Physical Qualities[edit]

The slime of which a slimeling is made is almost the same as that of a gelatinous cube. However, it is less acidic and more solid. A Slimeling eats by opening a hole in his body where normally the mouth is, and places his food inside. The food is digested inside his head. Slimelings can become very old. There is mention of one who lived for 300 years.

Playing a Slimeling[edit]

The origin of Slimelings is shrouded in mystery. Were they the creation of a mad wizard? A evolved form of gelatinous cubes? Maybe the vengeful ghost of a fallen adventurer took over one? No matter where they come from, slimelings are often curious. They can also be very arrogant, seeing the people who aren't a living blob as inferior.

Slimeling Characteristics: Curious, arrogant, loyal, mysterious.

Names: Gelan, Bucon, Lejor, Ozer and Slemi

Slimeling Adventurers[edit]

Three sample Slimeling adventurers are described below.

Gelan is a Slimeling Fighter. At first, he lived in the sewers of a city, but when he met a group of adventurers, he decided to stick with them. (no pun intended) He fights with two short swords and is often the first to attack the enemies.

Lejor is a Slimeling Ranger. He sees it as his duty to protect the dungeon in which he grew up. He uses a shortbow and two knifes to attack. Recently, he has sees a group of adventurers searching the dungeon. He would really like to go travelling with them, but he doesn't want to leave his home behind.

Slemi is a Slimeling Rogue who steals by entering the house through a narrow passage, absorb the treasure and glip away. He has been caught by a group of adventurers, who didn't sent him to prison because they thought that he could be useful. Slemi likes the world outside the city, but doesn't know if he should trust the adventurers.
