Fhondi are a race of devils who have turned to new ways of thinking, some believing in good, others letting their chaotic urges take them. In any way, their beliefs lead them to serve a variety of people, from devils and demons to kings and queens. They are feared by everyone, not just because of their startling looks, but because you'll never know if they want to destroy, conquer, heal or protect.

Play a fhondi if you want...

  • To be feared despite regardless of intentions
  • Be a devil that is not pure evil
  • to be a former devil, fast and fiery.
  • to be a member of a race that favors the wizard, ranger, fighter and avenger classes.

Physical Qualities[edit]

Fhondi have a unique appearance, combining the looks of a stereotypical devil with those of a dragon. They have scales covering most of their body, ranging in color from a deep crimson to a light red. They do, however have some areas of their body which is not, in fact, covered in flesh, instead being bare bone. These areas still function normally; they just have no meat or skin on them. Typical areas to be like this is the lower part of the wings, the hands, the shin, and the shoulders, although it does vary from person to person. They have wings that are about how long you would expect from that size creature, but severely lacking in actual surface area, making it hard to fly. Their feet are pointed and needle like, making it hard to believe it when they move with such grace. Their heads are very draconic looking, with yellow eyes and frills like those of a red dragon. They also have bone spires protruding from various parts of their body. When they are under great stress, extreme emotions, or when having a adrenaline rush they tend to "drip" liquid fire from their wings, hands and feet, sometimes looking like just a huge bonfire. They have a limited amount of control over this fire, and usually form it into intimidating pictures of dragons, infernal beings, or other things.

Playing a Fhondi[edit]

Some Fhondi live in one of the two types of Fhondi societies. The first being filled with so much carnage that most wouldn't consider them to be societies. Don't think of these as small villages. They are huge cities and they will go to war with anyone for next to no reason, they don't stop until the battle ends one way or another, including fighting other Fhondi cities. Because of this fighting since the beginning of their creation, their numbers are less and less every day. These cities run on a strict dictatorial hierarchy determined purely by whoever can take power; sometimes groups of weaker Fhondi will work together to take power, but this ends in a blood-bath as they backstab each other which is to expected by their nature. All-around them is bodies and destruction to be seen, if a Fhondi was stupid enough to sleep in the open, they can expect to be robbed. In societies like these, if the weaker Fhondi stick around, they will be starved to the bone by the upper-ranks who are loyal to the ruler, for now. Most of the time they have no choice but to stick around because other races refuse to accept them for what they are. These Fhondi are not inherently evil, they just enjoy war, the fighting, the riches, the challenge, and the glory.

The other type of society is the less stereotypical chaotic hell society. These are normally just smaller farming villages. These Fhondi have resisted their devilish impulses and decided to be good. Shunned by traditional societies, they just live their lives on their own avoiding attention; this does not make them weak, they are not afraid to defend themselves and will fight with all the fiery strength within them.

Fhondi Adventurers[edit]

Fhondi adventurers are surprisingly common as well. Most are of good alignment as the evil prefer the numbers and war that comes with living in "society". The minority will disguise themselves to avoid dealing with the presuming society. The rest are open about what they are. They are good people here to help, but they will become aggressive to those that discriminate against them.

Fhondi Characteristics: Fast, proud, self-reliant, fiery, non-typical.

Male Names: Geirix, Hufaiw, Nehk, Tzmulku.

Female Names: Julke, Lonku, Regnal, Thlean, Zeinnu.

Fhondi Adventurers[edit]

Three sample fhondi adventurers are described below.

Geirix is a fhondi dedicated to speed, fire, and neutrality. He, along with his friends work to maintain the balance between good, evil, chaos, and law. While Geirix tends to be one of the most steadfastly neutral in the group, his companions sometimes wonder if he really is what he says he is.

Julke is a wizard specializing in fiery blasts and heated explosions. She uses her powers to her own goals, spreading destruction and fear. She usually just blasts through anything in her way, with out even questioning if it was really in her way. Julke will do anything to increase her might, for, in her view, Might is Right.

Zada, hates himself for what he is. After many years of despair and evil, he discovered the might of Avandra and wishes to redeem himself for what he is, and what he used to be. Now a paladin, he fights sword and flames to redeem himself, and praise his deity.
