Entry Requirements
Alignment: Any Evil.
Skills: Perform (any) 5 ranks, Knowledge (Religion) 5 ranks
Spellcasting: Ability to cast 3rd-level Arcane Spells.
Special: Bardic Music class feature (Or the equivalent). Must have made a pact with Nerull or another evil God with some control over the dead

Class Features[edit]

Rebuke Undead (Ex): A Dirge has the power to affect undead creatures by channelling the power of his faith through his unholy symbol (see Turn or Rebuke Undead). A Dirge rebukes or commands such creatures.

Dirge of Undeath (Ex): A Dirge can use his solemn song to summon creatures of undeath to battle for him. When a Dirge play this song, he replicates the spell Summon Undead spell equal to half his level (rounded up) (Table below). The Dirge can prolong these summons as long as he continues playing, and the summons remain for 2 rounds per Dirge level after he has finished playing.

Bolster the Forces (Ex): Each undead you raise or create with necromancy gains a +4 enhancement bonus to Strength and +2 hit points per Hit Die. This bonus applies to the Dirge's Dirge of Undeath.

Iron Bones (Ex): Every undead you raise or create with necromancy gains a +2 natural armor bonus to Armor Class. This bonus increases to +4 at 7th level. This bonus applies to the Dirge's Dirge of Undeath.

Create Undead (Ex): The Dirge gain the ability to permanently raise the dead with a song of woe. A dirge can (Create Undead), as per the spell, a number of times per week equal to his Charisma Modifier.

Frigid Touch (Ex): Each corporeal undead you raise or create with necromancy deals an extra 1d6 points of cold damage with its natural weapons. This bonus applies to the Dirge's Dirge of Undeath.

Irrational Speed (Ex): Each undead you raise or create with necromancy gains a +4 bonus on initiative checks and a 10-foot increase to its base land speed. This bonus applies to the Dirge's Dirge of Undeath.

Create Greater Undead (Ex): The Dirge gain the ability to permanently raise the dead with a song of despair. A dirge can (Create Greater Undead), as per the spell, a number of times per month equal to half his Charisma Modifier (Rounded up).
